Some photos contain no metadata. Proprietary or damaged EXIF may not be readable.

How EXIF removal works

The browser redraws the image and creates a copy without EXIF. JPEG and WebP are recompressed to preserve the visible orientation, so file size or fine detail may change slightly. Your original file is not modified or deleted.

EXIF removal does not hide names, addresses, faces or other details visible in the image itself.

Frequently asked questions

Does “No location found” guarantee that a photo is safe?

It means this tool found no readable GPS coordinates. Also check visible details, the filename, the recipient and any proprietary metadata required by your use case.

Can I inspect HEIC photos?

This dedicated tool currently supports JPEG, PNG and WebP. Convert HEIC to JPEG first using the HEIC converter, then inspect the resulting file.

Will my original photo be deleted?

No. You download a separate copy without EXIF. Check its appearance, orientation and file size, and keep the original when needed.

Privacy

Photo loading, metadata inspection and EXIF removal happen in your browser. Images and GPS coordinates are not sent to this site. This site is delivered using Cloudflare Pages, which processes information such as IP addresses to deliver and secure requests. Advertising is not currently active; this notice will be updated before advertising begins.
